Woodgrain Floor

Abegail once again. This image was done entirely from memory and a few sketches I had done from life. As is my standard, I like to deviate; I toyed with elements like environment, emotion, and of course, a touch of color.

I am drawn to draped and folded textiles; so I placed Abegail in a pool of technicolor at the bottom of a fabric waterfall looking towards an ethereal, impressionistic scene of a forest's edge. All of course being held to the reality of the hard, plain, wood-grained floor which spreads beneath the scene; binding the familiar dimensions we know with the not-so-familiar ones.
