Yes, A Year . . .

I know, I haven't posted anything here in quite some time. Excuses? Let's see: scanner wouldn't work with Vista, time went by SO fast, was too busy with work, etc.

Lame.

Much has happened in this year that is worthy of note, however. I have done a LOT of art, butt loads of knitting, and moved residences.

It has been a very difficult year -- I was dropped from one of my contract positions at Microsoft because I needed surgery to remove a kidney stone the size of France from my right kidney. Along with paying some serious debts, it was a lean year.

The best thing that happened this year? I reconnected with my mother. I had not spoken with her in many years, for no particular reason -- but now that's a great weight that no longer presses down on me, and I am so grateful. I have no family here in Seattle, and my mother lives where I grew up in New Hampshire. She has brought much happiness back into my life, and I don't feel so alone anymore.

Now I have the daunting task of going through all my sketchbooks to catch up this year.

Stay tuned.
