Gary Skinner is an artist whose paper and pens or pencils are always at the ready to capture what might be called the "indecisive moment".

What he seems to capture most often are those moments when not much is happening and not much is likely to happen. In his bio on the blog, Gary says that his dream is to "create that which elevates our species so very far above all others -- the ability to create art."The art that he displays on his blog is a rendering of simple moments that too often escape notice and escape capture.

These are generally quick drawings, many of them done at various Capitol Hill haunts including the Elite Tavern, The Cuff, Broadway Grill, Cafe Vita, the #43 bus, and on several more or less anonymous street corners. He explains in one posting, "Many of my drawings are done sporadically; usually while waiting for a bus or just when something catches my eye."

Elsewhere he says, "I strongly feel my drawings should capture not just the images, but the personas and 'feel' of the subjects.

"Take a look at Gary's blog for unique, but ever-so-familiar glances at Capitol Hil
